Why I Love Comics ... The Audio Edition #15
We're back with our latest episode of the Why I Love Comics podcast! Each week, Chuck Moore and Eric Ratcliffe grab a single or a couple weeks worth of comics and go over what's good, what's not so good and what should be alltogether avoided. From the big two to the smaller companies Eric and Chuck read quite a bit so you know what's worth reading. Along the way, they talk with a few creators, meander off topic from time to time and work to pull together a solid feature right before your very ears, iPod and even web browser. Celebrating a mix of recent titles, Why I Love Comics is once again served up for your enjoyment!

Godron Dymowski, Chicago Comic Con and Doctor Who
Gordon is a self described "slightly intellectual health policy wonk who lives in Chicago and who likes comics, movies, books and pop culture". Gordon was the FIRST columnist here at Comic Related and an individual who I consider it an honor to have writing for the site via his monthly TV Party column. It's great to have Gordon back on the show!

Comic Creator and Novelist Greg Rucka
Over the past weekend, I had the great pleasure to spend a few hours hanging out with Ron Fortier, Bill Gladman, Raichal Gladman, Mark Maddox, Rob Davis and others at Pulpfest (www.pulpfest.com)! "The Summer's Leading Pulp Convention," PulpFest 2009 was a new and improved version of the venerable convention of years past catering to fans and collectors of vintage popular fiction and if what I saw was any indication, it was a massive success. During the event, as part of the con's The New Fictioneers programming, Ron Fortier tooks to the stage and read a chapter from his latest Captain Hazzard novel,Cavemen of New York. If you don't know Ron, you must be new to Comic Related as he is one of the site's true founding fathers. Ron has also been a professional writer for over thirty years, best known for his work in the comics field but quickly making an equal name for himself in the world of pulp. In comics, his Green Hornet series for Now Comics is fondly remembered. With artist Rob Davis, he launched Airship 27 Productions, a company devoted to producing new novels and anthologies starring classic pulp heroes from the thirties and forties. Among these is a series based on the 1938 one-shot pulp hero, Captain Hazzard. That, as they say, is where our story (or in this case podcast) begins!
